Boiled eggs & fruit salad

Boiled eggs are a good source of protein for your premade camping meals!

You can either buy preboiled eggs or boil your own. I usually boil my own for premade camping meals unless I am really pressed for time.

To boil your own, remove the desired number of eggs from the refrigerator. Place the eggs in a cooking pot and cover completely with water. Bring the eggs to a boil and cook for 12-15 minutes. I boil medium eggs for 12 minutes and large eggs for 15 minutes.

Once your eggs are done, peel them and place them in the refrigerator until time to pack them for your camping trip.

At Camp! Take your boiled eggs out of the cooler and enjoy! Sprinkle with salt and pepper if you wish.

NOTE! Instead of using the old-fashioned “pot on a stove” method, they now have these fancy gadgets for making hard boiled eggs. You can check them out below!

Fruit salads are a healthy addition to your premade camping meals!

Fruit salads are super easy. Pick your favorite fruits and rinse them well. Peel them if you need to and chop them into bite size chunks. Keep your fruit salad refrigerated until time to pack for your camping trip.

PRO TIP! If you are adding banana to your fruit salad, you’ll want to wait until you sit down for breakfast to peel and slice it.

Fruit salad alternative for your premade camping meals? If you’re not a fan of fruit salad, you may want to consider preparing a melon salad. There’s nothing quite like the refreshing combination of watermelon, honeydew, and cantaloupe.

At Camp! Simply take your salad out of the cooler and enjoy!

Cinnamon rolls & scrambled eggs

Cinnamon rolls are a sweet addition to your premade camping meals!

I’m going to be straight up honest here. When I am prepping for a camping trip (or traveling in general), I cheat! I buy the canned pastry dough with icing from the refrigerated section of the grocery store. No specific brand, just whatever is the cheapest.

Cooking instructions will vary, but the basic process is the same. You just lightly grease your pan and place the “ready to bake” cinnamon rolls on it. Then, bake according to package instructions. Simple as that!

Once they are finished cooking, remove them from the oven and drizzle icing on them while they are still hot. You’ll want to let them cool completely before you pack them for your camping trip.

At Camp! Remove your cinnamon rolls and enjoy!

Scrambled eggs are a good source of protein for your premade camping meals!

You can make scrambled eggs many different ways from stove top to microwave. I will give you quick stove top directions below.

To scramble your eggs, remove the desired number of eggs from your refrigerator and crack them in a mixing bowl. Remove the white chalaza (the stringy white things) with a spoon and discard. Add salt and pepper, if you wish. Then, beat your eggs with a fork or eggbeater.

PRO TIP! Add a good splash of milk if you want your eggs to come out light and fluffy.

Take out your egg skillet. Spray it with zero calorie butter flavored cooking spray and place it on the stove. Set your burner temperature between low and medium. Once your skillet is hot, carefully pour your eggs in. You’ll want to watch them closely, so they don’t turn brown on the bottom.

Once the eggs start to set, you can use your spatula to gently push them off the bottom and fold them into the middle of the skillet. Repeat this process until the eggs are fully cooked.

You will want to cool your eggs completely and keep them refrigerated prior to packing for your camping trip.

When packing for your trip, place your eggs in a foil pack. Place the foil pack in an environmentally safe zip top bag and place it in your cooler.

Spruce up those boring scrambled eggs for your premade camping meals!

You can add a variety of different ingredients to your eggs during the cooking process. Get creative with the list below!

  • Sauteed onions (sauté in the skillet before adding the eggs)
  • Cheese (add near the end of the cooking process)
  • Chunked ham (add to the skillet when you add the eggs)
  • Precooked sausage (add to the skillet when you add the eggs)
  • Precooked bacon (add to the skillet when you add the eggs)
  • Tomatoes (add near the end of the cooking process)
  • Chives (add near the end of the cooking process)
  • Green onions (garnish the top of the scrambled eggs prior to consumption)

At Camp! Take the zip top bag out of the cooler and remove the foil pack that contains your eggs. Place the foil pack on a grate above your campfire. Remember, you’re just warming them, so you don’t need direct flames. You can eat them straight out of the foil pack and discard the foil when you’re finished. If you’re RV camping, you can easily warm them in your microwave using a microwave safe dish.

Ham, egg, & cheese sliders make great premade camping meals

You’ll need to gather a few things and do a little prep. But this is such an easy process, and you’ll have plenty of sliders when you’re finished. Below is a list of what you’ll need.

  • Sheet pan
  • Parchment paper
  • Silicon spatula (for cutting your eggs into squares so you don’t damage your sheet pan)
  • A mixing bowl
  • An egg beater
  • A spoon
  • A knife (for cutting the ham in squares)
  • Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • Sliced cheese
  • Sliced ham
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Plastic wrap
  • Environmentally friendly zip top freezer bags or freezer paper
  • A marker (for labeling)
  • Aluminum foil

Process

You’ll start by cooking your eggs. I use this exact recipe => Simple Sheet Pan Scrambled Eggs! Once you complete the process, you’ll remove your eggs from the oven and set aside. They will need ample time to cool before assembling your sliders, and you’ll want to blot the eggs to remove any excess moisture!

While your eggs are cooling, you can break your cheese slices into quarters and chop your ham into slider size squares.

To assemble, open your Hawaiian sweet roll. Layer as follows from bottom to top: bottom of the roll, one egg square, a couple ham squares, one egg square, one cheese square and finally the top of the roll.

NOTE! If you want more cheese, feel free to add an extra square!

Once you have assembled your sliders, you can individually wrap them in plastic wrap or freezer paper.

Ham, egg, and cheese sliders individually wrapped make for excellent premade camping meals!

Then, place them in environmentally friendly zip top freezer bags. Be sure to label the outside of the freezer bags before placing them in the freezer.

When you get ready to go camping, you’ll remove the number of sliders you need from your freezer. You’ll want to put them in zip top bags and carefully place them in your cooler.

At Camp! Remove your slider from its wrapper, open it so you have 2 halves, place the halves roll side up on aluminum foil, and carefully set them on the grate over your fire. Remember, you’re just warming them, so you don’t need direct flames.

If you’re RV camping, you can easily warm them in your microwave. However, you’ll want to place a damp paper towel on top of your slider to keep them from getting rubbery and hard.

French bread breakfast pizza makes great premade camping meals

This can be a little time consuming and messy to prepare, but it’s so very worth it! Below is a list of what you’ll need.

  • Sheet pan
  • Parchment paper
  • Large bread knife
  • An egg beater
  • A mixing bowl (for the eggs)
  • 5 bowls (for the cooked meats and shredded cheese)
  • A skillet
  • A spatula
  • A basting brush
  • A couple spoons
  • 1 small pot (for the white gravy packet)
  • A whisk (for the white gravy packet)
  • Microwave bacon cooker (or you can cook it in the oven)
  • French bread
  • Butter flavored cooking spray
  • Olive oil
  • White gravy packet (optional)
  • Monterey jack cheese
  • Ground sausage or ground pork
  • Bacon
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Mild cheddar cheese
  • Aluminum foil
  • Environmentally friendly zip top bags

Prep

Cook your bacon in the microwave, let it cool, crumble it into small pieces, and set it aside.

Cook your ground sausage, drain all the grease you possibly can, set it aside, and let it cool.

Scramble your eggs, set them aside, and let them cool.

Shred your Monterey Jack and your Mild Cheddar. Set them aside.

Make your white gravy according to package instructions.

Line your sheet pan with parchment paper and place your French bread on the pan. Cut your French bread lengthwise so you have 2 long halves.

Scoop some of the bread out so you are left with a long trench on each half. You can make the crust as thick or thin as you want by adjusting how much bread you remove to make the trenches.

Once you have your trenches the way you want them, you will begin the layering process.

Layering

Lightly brush olive oil on the bottom of the trench. At this time, you can lightly spread the white gravy along the bottom and sides of the trench.

NOTE! If you don’t want to use white gravy here, substitute shredded Monterey Jack cheese. I would use about 2/3 of my Monterey Jack here and save the other 1/3 for the top layer.

Your next layer will be your sausage, and you’ll want to spread it as evenly as possible.

Then, you’ll spread your scrambled eggs as evenly as possible followed by your crumbled up bacon.

Once you have your meats and eggs evenly distributed, you can begin topping it with cheese. Sprinkle the shredded Mild Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese evenly over the top of the pizza.

Baking

You’ll want to bake the pizza between 350 and 375 degrees depending on your specific oven. You’ll cook it between 15 and 20 minutes. The pizza should be hot all the way through, and the French bread should be crispy.

Once it’s completely cool, you can slice it and package it for travel. Wrap individual slices in aluminum foil and slide them in environmentally friendly zip top bags.

At Camp! Lay pizza slices wrapped in foil on a grate over the campfire to warm them up. If you’re RV camping, you can warm the pizza easily in your microwave. OR you can just eat it cold! It’s good like that too.

Sausage, egg, & cheese biscuits make great premade camping meals

You’ll need to gather a few things and do a little prep. But overall, these are pretty easy to make. Below is a list of what you’ll need.

  • Sheet pan (for sausage/egg combination)
  • Parchment paper
  • Silicon spatula (for cutting your sausage/eggs into squares so you don’t damage your sheet pan)
  • A cookie sheet (for biscuits)
  • A mixing bowl
  • An egg beater
  • A spoon

  • Sliced cheese
  • Ground sausage
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Plastic wrap or freezer paper
  • Environmentally friendly zip top freezer bags
  • A marker (for labeling)
  • Aluminum foil

Process

Bake your biscuits according to package instructions. Set those aside and let them cool completely.

Next, fry your ground sausage. You’ll drain as much grease off as you possibly can and set the sausage aside.

Then, you’ll begin making this recipe => Simple Sheet Pan Scrambled Eggs! But BEFORE you put the eggs in the oven, sprinkle your ground sausage in with the eggs. Then, you’ll place the sheet pan in the oven and cook as directed.

Once you pull your sausage and egg combination sheet from the oven, you’ll set it aside to cool completely. Then, you can cut it into squares. You’ll want to blot the sausage and egg combination squares to remove any excess moisture.

Layering

To assemble, cut your biscuits in half. Layer as follows from bottom to top: bottom of the biscuit, one sausage and egg combination square, one cheese square, another sausage and egg combination square, and another cheese square, and finally the top of the biscuit.

Once you have assembled your breakfast biscuits, you can individually wrap them in plastic wrap or freezer paper.

At Camp! Wrap the biscuits in aluminum foil and warm them on a grate over your campfire. If you’re RV camping, you can easily warm them in your microwave. However, you’ll want to place a damp paper towel on top of your biscuit.

Maple sausage French toast sandwiches

These are really good and French toast keeps well as long as it is refrigerated. Below is a list of what you will need.

  • A skillet
  • A spatula
  • A mixing bowl
  • An egg beater
  • A spoon
  • Sandwich bread
  • Cooking spray
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Ground maple sausage
  • Syrup
  • Foil
  • Environmentally friendly zip top bags

Process

Start by pressing your maple sausage into large, thin patties. Then, fry those in a skillet until completely done. Set them aside to cool.

Next, you’ll break your eggs into a bowl and remove the white chalaza (the stringy white things) with a spoon. You’ll want to discard those. Your next step will be to add a good splash of milk. Then, a little salt and pepper, if you wish. Beat your eggs with a fork or eggbeater and set aside.

Then, spray your skillet with cooking spray and let it get hot. When your skillet is hot enough, take a slice of bread and dip it in the egg. Place the egg covered bread in the skillet and cook until both sides are golden brown. Repeat the process until you have enough French toast.

You will sandwich one piece of completely cooled maple sausage between two pieces of completely cooled French toast. Repeat until you have enough sandwiches. Wrap sandwiches individually in foil and place in an environmentally friendly zip top bag.

At Camp! Take your foil wrapped French toast sandwich and place it on a grate over your campfire. No direct flames, you’re just warming it up.

Ham & potato foil packs make excellent premade camping meals

These are super good and fairly easy to prepare. You’ll start by peeling your potatoes and onions. Then you can fry them on the stove like normal or you can roast them in the oven. When they are finished cooking, you’ll want to set them aside and let them cool completely.

Then, place the potatoes and onions on a piece of aluminum foil. Add a decent amount of “precooked” ham chunks to the top. Properly fold your foil pack and place it in an environmentally friendly zip top bag.

At Camp! You simply place the foil pack on the grate above your fire until the contents are warm.

Fried egg & bacon breakfast wrap

These are really easy to make, they transport well, and they’re easy to reheat. Below is a list of what you’ll need.

  • A skillet
  • A spatula
  • A microwave bacon cooker
  • Small flour tortilla wraps
  • Eggs
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Bacon
  • Butter flavor cooking spray
  • Aluminum foil
  • Environmentally friendly zip top bags

Process

Cook your bacon in the microwave. Let it cool and set it aside.

Spray your skillet with cooking spray. Place your egg in the skillet and bust the yolk. Add salt and pepper, if you wish. Fry the egg until it is completely done. Remove the egg from the skillet and let it cool.

Take a small flour tortilla and lay the egg on it. Then, add the bacon. Roll the tortilla up. At this time, you can brown the outside of the tortilla in the skillet if you want to.

Let the tortilla cool completely before wrapping it in aluminum foil and placing it in the refrigerator.

At Camp! Simply place the breakfast wrap on a grate over the fire to warm. Once warm, remove it from the foil and enjoy!
