This page will serve as a tool to help you optimize your travels. The content here will certainly help you maximize your travel time and budget through proper planning and thrifty tips. My “Things To Do” section will give you ideas on destinations and activities that won’t break the bank! Additionally, my safety section can help you enhance your safety methods.
My planning and packing sections will help you organize your trip using techniques I’ve spent years figuring out because…”trial and error”. Mostly error! Not even kidding…
Things To Do
Wanna travel to some places you never knew existed? Here you’ll find my adventures to lesser-known places and some thrifty tips to help you optimize your travels. For example, eating out all the time can get expensive while traveling! Therefore, some of my content includes meal plans with grocery lists and current expense breakdowns to help you stretch your travel budget.
All content pertaining to destinations in this section will have interactive maps near the bottom. Some of those maps simply show you the exact location of the destination so you can easily plan your trip. Other maps are for directing you to nearby destinations because you may want to incorporate them into your trip; part of a process I call “destination linking”. You can learn more about what I call destination linking here.
NOTE! Please bear with me as I continue to build this section in the coming months.
Optimize your travels through Safety
My safety section will help you protect yourself and your home while you’re traveling. You may run across some vulnerabilities you never thought of while scrolling my content. It never hurts to bridge safety gaps if you find them.
Additionally, you’ll find some useful information that will help you enhance your current safety methods. I will continue to update this section as technology advances and safety risks evolve.
Optimize your travels by Planning
The planning process is where optimization starts! Without proper planning, you’ll never be able to optimize your travels. You really need to think things through if you want your travels to be both successful and stress free. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying avoid spontaneity. Those last minute date nights or surprise trips to the nearest beach are amazing, and they don’t require much planning. However, I don’t recommend hopping in the car and taking off on an 1,800 mile road trip without a plan.
My planning section will help you get all the “have-tos” out of the way so you can enjoy the “want-tos”. Here you’ll get a first hand look at my planning techniques and strategies that will help you get the most out of your available travel time and budget.
Packing
Packing can get out of hand really fast! You pack all the things you “think” you need and then a bunch of last minute items “just in case”. Before you know it, you’re traveling with half your house. It is so exhausting traveling with all that heavy luggage. When you lug it around it makes you age. See what I did there?
I have learned over the years how to travel light and still have all the things I need. You can find that information tailored to specific types of travel in this section.
I hope this page helps improve the quality of your travels. Likewise, I hope it gives you some ideas on how to travel more with limited resources. Wishing you many blessings and as always, Safe Travels!
