A trip back in time! We love those. Our family had such a nice time here, and we learned so much. The staff at the Air & Military Museum of the Ozarks deserve a huge THANK YOU from my family. You were knowledgeable and patient answering all our questions. We were certainly treated with a level of service and respect that can only be considered as historical as your memorabilia.

Memorabilia

When you first pull up and see the building, you’ll wonder how a museum of any value could be behind those doors. I promise you, that’s an illusion! This is truly a hidden gem with thousands of pieces of military memorabilia. The front area has displays with smaller memorabilia while the areas in the back house large military vehicles and equipment.

Air & Military Museum of the Ozarks is a “hands on experience”

The boys were able to handle certain pieces of memorabilia under the careful supervision of staff members. They were able to learn the history behind different military firearms and hold them while posing for photographs. The “Tommy Gun” was certainly a hit!

Sitting in the AH-1S Cobra Helicopter with the instrument panel on was mind blowing for the boys! By boys, I also mean my husband. Our docent was patient and knowledgeable when answering their questions. Learning about the gauges, controls, and history of the chopper was definitely the highlight of the visit! Learn about the flight simulation here!

They were also able to enjoy sitting in a Lockheed T-33 Jet and some of the Jeeps. I certainly recommend this place for field trips or birthday parties!
