We were traveling from Roaring River State Park to Beaver Lakefront Cabins and just happened to stumble across Inspiration Point. Where did THAT come from? Of course, we had to stop! What a nice surprise! We spent about an hour here admiring the view, and we certainly got the cameras out.
We were here in November, so the trees were almost all leafless allowing the evergreens to stand out. I would certainly like to see this view during other seasons. Can you imagine how beautiful it is here in the fall when the leaves are turning? Or in the spring when everything is blooming?
You can see the White River from above as it meanders through the landscape offering a bounty of fish and freshwater to the Bald Eagles that inhabit the area. You’ll certainly be blessed if you get a glimpse of the majestic creatures!
Picnic Lunch at Inspiration Point
This is a perfect place to have lunch while sitting on your tailgate! How about packing yourself a small cooler with sandwiches and drinks? Drop that tailgate and enjoy a thrifty lunch with a view! Or grab some reasonable takeout in Eureka Springs and drive to the scenic overlook!
